The major premise of Chinese medical theory is that all the form of life in the universe are animated by an essential life force or vital energy called "Qi"
(pronounced "Chee"). Acupuncture, supplemented by herbal and
nutritional therapy and massage, are used to restore Qi and thus harmony to
the body. |

Yin-Yang are Symbols of
opposite forces. Yin is within Yang and Yang is within Yin.
Everything contains Yin and Yang. When Yin and Yang are balanced
there is health.
Yang is light, is warmth,
is flowing, is Qi, and is man.
Yin is dark, is cool, is solid, is blood, and is
woman. One cannot exist
without the other. |
